Vikram postpones ‘Chaandupottu’ remake

A series of recent remake flops has now made Vikram think twice about remaking ‘Chaandupottu’ in Tamil.
‘Thommanum Makkalum’ was a huge hit in Malayalam and was remade in Tamil as ‘Majaa’. The film flopped. Vikram was seriously planning to remake Dileep’s ‘Chaandupottu’ in Tamil too, but it looks like he is extremely nervous about going ahead with the project.
Though the actor loves to experiment with his image, he is not in a position right now to try such a huge market-risk like ‘Chaandupottu’.
Even the remake of ‘Rajamanikkam’ too is likely to get into trouble due to the recent trends. We hope Anwar Rasheed has lined up other alternatives.
