Kamalhasan buries hopes

For a very long time now, Tamil cinema has been trying to bring together the two superstars, Rajinkanth and Kamalhasan. Unlike Malayalam, where the superstars Mammooty and Mohanlal still continue to work together, atleast for the sake of their film' producers' welfare, such things don't happen in Tamil.
Rajinikanth makes about Rs 15 Crores and 50% profits for each film that he stars in. nothing much is known about Kamalhasan's remuneration.
Recently, the latter was addressing a press conference. During the question hour, he was asked if he'd ever work with Rajinikanth in a film. He says that Rajinikanth and he had chosen to not work together in films because they didn't want the producers to take unnecessary risks.
"I don't think producers can afford to cast Rajinikanth and me together in their films. It would be an unnecessary risk on them. This is the reason why we choose to not work together," says Kamalhasan.
It also would be difficult to come up with a story that gives equal importance to both the stars.
