A long time ago, Tamil director Cheran launched a film with Meera Jasmine in the lead. ‘Pokkisham’ was the name. This was after his phenomenal hit ‘Autograph’.

Suddenly, rumors began that both Meera Jasmine and the director weren’t able to see eye-to-eye over lot of issues. The film ran into troubles and Cheran started working in other films. ‘Thavamaai Thavam Irundhu’ is one such film. It is a different story that the film has run into lot of hurdles.

Nothing much was heard about the film. Then, the clash between the director/actor and Meera Jasmine came into the limelight when she was mysteriously removed from DV Chandran’s new film with Cheran in the lead.

Now, Cheran has officially announced that Meera Jasmine is out of the film and Sandhya, the school girl, has stepped in to play the female lead.
