Before making headlines with her role as a reformed prostitute, Bharati had acted in a handful of B-grade films that she wouldn't want to talk about. Then came the film with Parthiban. To her annoyance, she began getting the same kind of roles. But she was adamant about not doing any role that wasn't prominent enough.

She then got herself a role that suited her conditions, but soon after its launch, the film got dropped.

Now she has all her hopes pinned on a new film that marks the onscreen debut of a stunt director in the lead role. The problem is- the role is so glamorous that she will have to wait for a very long time to get out of this image trap!
