Now that her marriage to husband Vishal will soon become history, skeletons are fast tumbling out of Meera Vasudevan's marital cupboard!
Both Meera and her now estranged husband Vishal are busy throwing allegations over each other. Vishal claims that she has chronic depression and is getting treated for it. He adds that all the allegations filed by Meera against him are baseless and insane. Meera too has a long list of controversial complaints against him and his family, especially the mother and younger sibling.
Meera has high regards about her father-in-law, but says that Vishal's younger sibling had tried to molest her with her husband's consent and cooperation. She adds that he was ready to push her into prostitution. Her mother-in-law too was supporting the idea, she claims. Vishal replied that Meera was romantically involved with his younger sibling before their marriage. He claims that she hid the fact because she thought Vishal would get angry and might cancel the wedding.
She adds that her husband and his family had lived a very lavish lifestyle with the money that she had earned in films, thus leaving her literally penniless now. She has demanded a compensation of Rs 50 Lakhs.
In her divorce petition, she has also alleged that her husband, his brother and mother used to beat her up and physically torture her. "There were times when I used to turn up at the shooting spot with swollen face and blackened eye due to the beating, but in order to avoid scandals, I used to say that I had slipped and fallen," she said. She also said that the family used to forcibly make her eat sedative drugs so that they could claim that she was mentally unwell.
The actress is now getting ready to seriously restart her career.
