While Mamta Mohandas had become a reasonably known actress in Tamil and Telugu, Saiju Kurup had difficulties with his success. Until now, he had been starring in non-hero roles in a few Malayalam films.

But the actor is now ready to hit big times. He is now going to make his debut in Kollywood. As a first step, he has changed his name to Aniruddh. His debut film in Tamil will be with the acclaimed filmmaker K Bhagyaraj. Shantanu, Bhagyaraj's son, is playing the lead role. Saiju, aka Aniruddh is going to be the villain.

Tamil film industry had been running short of heroes for a very long time now. Saiju sure is making a smart decision with choosing a villain role in the film.
