Rimi made her playback singing debut with ‘Chinga maasam’ in ‘Meesha Madhavan’. She also is extremely popular as a show hostess and her fans used to throng her live performances simply to watch her sing exuberantly. Her habit of dancing while singing had been on the receiving end of lots of jokes, but the audience has now got used to it.

She had recently sung for the Dileep-starrer ‘Mulla’.
