"I always wanted to act in many Malayalam films but I wasn't because there weren't enough callsheets to set aside. My very first film ever was 'Inganae Oru Nilaapakshi'. The film gave me a big break, but I also became very busy in Tamil.
"The first film in Malayalam didn't turn out to be the kind of victory that we would want to remember for long. But my next film in Tamil was also by a Malayalam film producer. Not many know this but I'm a Malayali too. It actually feels nice to see so many Malayali heroines in Tamil. Most of them have become leading actresses who are known both for their good looks and acting capabilities.
"Since I grew up in the Gulf countries, I'm not that well informed about Onam. But, I have participated in a number of competitions that are held there to celebrate the occasion. We also have watched lots of programs on TV.
"I'd love to come to Kerala and celebrate Onam the typical Malayali way. I hope it comes true as soon as possible.
"I also want to play some memorable roles and earn a place in the hearts of the Malayalam audience. I have traveled around the world for shooting my films. South Indians used to come to the spot to see me. Quite a number of them were Malayalis. I have asked them about Onam.
"They told me that Onam is more like the national festival of Malayalis from around the world. Centuries have passed but Malayalis continue to celebrate the festival with the same enthusiasm as they did then. I believe that the enthusiasm would continue in future too.
"I have heard that my Tamil films are very well received in Kerala too.
"I wish each and every family in Kerala and to Malayalis around the world a happy Onam," says Sneha.
